The PriArc project is well representated at the European Architectural History Network’s conference 2018 in Tallin. No less than three of PriArc’s principle investigators host conference sessions: PriArc’s Barbara Penner leads the roundtable “The foundations of architectural research” together with Professor Charles Rice from Sidney University of Technology; Maarten Delbeke hosts the session “The persistence of a provincial Baroque” together with Dr. Edoardo Piccolini from Politecnico di Torino, and Mari Hvattum hosts the session “Coming back to haunt you: The history of rejecting history in architecture”. PriArc scholar Mari Lending gives the paper “Spectres of Modernism” in the latter session, while Tim Anstey speaks on “Egypt and the Interior: Thomas Hope and Interior Decoration” in the session “The architecture of the Orient before orientalism” led by Anne-Françoise Morel from KU Leuven.
